TERMS AND CONDITIONS

All bookings made to Dashing Hounds Pet Services will be subject to the following terms and conditions of service.

Booking, Walking and Sitting.

You, the owner, are responsible for ensuring all pets in the care of Dashing Hounds Pet Services are up to date on vaccinations, flea, tick and worming treatment. All dogs should be fitted with up-to-date microchips and have pet ID tags securely attached to their collar. We require all pets in the care of Dashing Hounds to also be fully insured to ensure cover if any accidents occur.

You, the owner, are required to make full disclosure of any health or behavioural issues your animal may have during the initial face-to-face consultation. Failure to do so may render the animal unsuitable for our services.

Dashing Hounds Pet Services will not accept the care of aggressive or dangerous animals, nor will we accept dogs stated under the Dangerous Dogs Act (1991), unless the dog has obtained a certificate of exemption. Due to the safety of other dogs we also cannot walk bitches in season, instead offering visits to ensure your dog is not on her own.

We may ask for a non-refundable deposit when booking any sittings or long-term walking services. This will be used to secure bookings. This will equate to approximately 25% of the full fee. Please refer to our cancellation policy if you should wish to cancel any bookings.

Full payment for services (agreed at the time of booking or consultation) is to be made within 7 days of receipt of invoice. This can be done via cash or bank transfer. Failure to do so will see all future bookings cancelled and a fee of £10 added to the bill.

Dashing Hounds Pet Service cannot be held liable for any loss, injury or death to a pet either inside or outside the home while it is in our care, no matter how they are incurred. Additionally, Dashing Hounds Pet Services does not accept any liability for any animals that escape or become lost or injured, fatal or otherwise, when under instructions from clients. This includes if we are instructed to leave the animal in a fenced area or a cage.

While Dashing Hounds Pet Services will take adequate steps to ensure your house is safe in our care, but we will not be liable for any burglaries or break ins while you are absent.

Cancellations and Changes

Dashing Hounds Pet Services require a minimum of 48 hours’ notice of any to sitting services and 24 hours’ notice for any walking services. If cancellations are made outside of these protocols, the full rate will be charged.

Dashing Hounds Pet Services highly respects our clients entrusting us with their homes and the care of their pets. All of our records will be kept in compliance with the Data Protection Act 1998. All your information will be kept strictly confidential and will not be shared with anyone outside of Dashing Hounds Pet Services.
